Reba McEntire has “my game face on” as she returns to The Voice.

McEntire, who is also filming the second season of Happy’s Place, said she’s “back in my other Happy Place,” as she shared a photo on Instagram on Thursday afternoon (July 10). The photo shows McEntire returning to her iconic red chair on the upcoming season of the NBC competition show. The legendary country artist said she’s “got my game face on and I’m ready to WIN 🏆 Just wait til y’all hear the incredible voices of Season 28!”

McEntire made her debut as a coach for the first time in 2023, after fellow country star Blake Shelton’s departure. She previously appeared on the show as a Battle Advisor and Mega Mentor over the years. She’s returning for the show’s 28th season alongside Niall HoranSnoop Dogg and Michael Bublé,

“I love to encourage,” McEntire said in a recent interview with iHeartCountry of her experience as a coach on The Voice. “I can’t tell anybody, ‘Don’t do this. Go get a job. You’re not suited for this.’ But the way that we get to do the – I don’t say critique – advice, it’s helpful advice. It’s not tear-down. We want to lift up. We want to inspire. We want to encourage, not tear down. They get enough of that out there in the world.”

Season 28 is set to premiere this fall.
