Thomas Rhett revealed a sneak peek of a soon-to-release collaboration after stirring anticipation with a few vague teasers.

Rhett announced on Monday morning (May 5) that he’s planning to extend his About A Woman era with additional tracks releasing throughout the summer. The award-winning country star is kicking off the “first batch” of new songs with “Small Town Girls,” teaming up with up-and-coming hitmaker Tucker Wetmore. Rhett finally revealed his collaboration partner after keeping Wetmore’s identity under wraps in a few videos shared throughout the week.

Rhett’s seventh studio album, About A Woman, arrived in August 2024. The 14-track record includes “Beautiful As You,” “Overdrive,” “Gone Country,” “After All The Bars Are Closed” and more. He said at the time that the album is “about one woman, my wife, and it gave me an opportunity to say ‘I love you’ in a lot of different ways.”

The singer-songwriter met his wife, Lauren Akins, in elementary school. The couple dated briefly in high school, remained friends after their breakup and rekindled their romance later. Rhett proposed after about six months of dating. They got married in October 2012, and now, they share four young daughters: Willa Gray, 9, Ada James, 7, Lennon Love, 5, and Lillie Carolina, 3.

Rhett recently took the stage at the 2025 iHeartCountry Festival, and he’s gearing up for his headlining “Better In Boots Tour,” with Wetmore, The Castellows and Dasha on select dates. “Lose Control” artist Teddy Swims will also join Rhett when he performs at the iconic Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts.
