Old Dominion will open the doors of the band’s long-awaited bar for a sneak peek weekend beginning Friday (April 18).
The “I Was On A Boat That Day” group will open Odie’s for the first time this Friday and Saturday (April 19) at 11 a.m., per an announcement on the bar’s Instagram account on Wednesday afternoon (April 16): “You heard it here first! …We can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on. See you SO SOON!
“Can’t come this weekend? 🥲 We’ll be back open on Thursday, 4/24 at 11am!” Odie’s added in a comment, Old Dominion commented with a few “cheers” emojis as eager fans expressed their excitement for the bar’s highly-anticipated opening. The sneak peek weekend will include live music and DJs, per the announcement on Wednesday.
The reigning, seven-time Country Music Association Vocal Group of the Year winners announced plans to open Odie’s in December 2023. Old Dominion — made up of Matthew Ramsey, Trevor Rosen, Whit Sellers, Geoff Spring and Brad Tursi — join a growing list of artists opening bars in Nashville, Tennessee; however, many of those honky tonks and music venues appear downtown. Old Dominion opted to open Odie’s in Nashville’s Midtown neighborhood. They previously said that neighborhood has “played such a role in the history of our band.
“From chilling at the bar after writing, to playing weekly into the wee hours of the morning and even recently playing Whiskey Jam to launch our tour…. It’s an important neighborhood for not only upcoming artists and writers but also for locals and visitors who want a good place they know they can go and have a good time. Odie’s will be that neighborhood bar for us all.”
Odie’s is opening at 1919 Division St. in Nashville, Tennessee.
