Residents of Pennsylvania aged 21 and older, along with state liquor license holders, can now register for rare whiskey lotteries through the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB). The lotteries offer a chance to purchase one of 1,434 limited-release bottles, featuring collections from the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, Van Winkle whiskeys, and Colonel E.H. Taylor bourbon.

Registration is open until 5:00 p.m. on Friday (January 16) and can be completed through the Fine Wine and Good Spirits website. Participants can choose to enter one, two, or all three lotteries, but only one entry per household is allowed for each drawing. Duplicative entries will be disqualified.

The first lottery includes 324 bottles from the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, priced at $149.99 each. The second lottery offers 1,062 bottles of Van Winkle whiskey, and the third features 48 bottles of Colonel E.H. Taylor Jr. Straight Bourbon Limited Edition Bottled in Bond, also priced at $149.99.

According to the PLCB, winners will be selected randomly by a computer program during the week of January 19. Participants will be notified by email in the weeks following the lottery. The PLCB emphasizes that the sale of alcohol without a license is illegal, and winners are reminded not to resell their purchases.
