Blake Shelton’s cryptic social media post stirred questions from hundreds of commenters awaiting more information from the country star.

Shelton posted a photo without a caption on his social media accounts on Tuesday afternoon (March 11). The photo is simply an orange square, and serves as his profile picture across all of his platforms. Hundreds of commenters wondered what the Oklahoma-born country star meant by the mysterious orange photo.

“It ain’t red but we’ll allow it đŸ€”,” reads a comment by Ole Red, Shelton’s bar with locations in Las Vegas, Nevada; Nashville, Tennessee; Gatlinburg, Tennessee; Orlando, Florida; and Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Emily Ann Roberts, former contestant on The Voice who is a special guest on Shelton's headlining “Friends & Heroes 2025 Tour,” wrote: “Omg do we have a [Tennessee] Vols fan on our hands?!?!?!?”

Others commented on Instagram, “Something is happening...👀 OMG please let it be related to the new album coming,” “SIR WHAT IS THIS OMG,” “WHAT IS HAPPENING,” “ummm sir what’s going on?!?!?!,” “PLEASE REVEAL WHAT IT IS, BLAKE đŸ™đŸ»đŸ™đŸ»,” and more. Shelton, however, has not clarified what the orange square means as of publication time on Wednesday (March 12).
