Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves, and Zac Brown are among the country stars singing the praises of Carole King.  They joined a host of other artists in performing for the legendary singer-songwriter, who was honored as the 2014 MusiCare's Person of the Year.

"USA Today" says Miranda joined Martina McBride, Jennifer Nettles, and Amy Grant as a country girl group, and performed a medley of King songs that included "One Fine Day" and "I'm Into Something Good."

Musgraves teamed up with Miguel to perform "Crying in the Rain," which was a hit for the Everly Brothers in 1962.  LeAnn Rimes collaborated with Aerosmith's Steven Tyler on "Hi-De-Ho," while Zac Brown joined Jason Mraz, Sara Bareilles and the group Raining Jane on "Beautiful."

Brown also left the event with a new car.  He placed the $70,000 winning bid on a customized Acura, which was among the items up for bid in the event's live auction.

King's handwritten lyrics to "Tapestry" was one of the biggest sellers, bringing in $120,000.  But even without the auction proceeds, the event raised more than $5.5 million.  The money went to MusiCares, a charity that supports musicians in need.
